Maschinenfabrik Gustav Eirich GmbH & Co KG, a pioneer in processing technology, has fundamentally modernized its trade show presence. Instead of expensive machine transports and complex setups, the company relies on innovative digital product presentations, with impressive success.
Digital Innovation Instead of Physical Exhibits
"We made a conscious decision, with a clear plan, not to take large mixers to the trade shows," explains Maximilian Dunkel, Head of Marketing & Product Management at EIRICH. This decision is a turning point in the trade show strategy of the company. In the past, physical machines often took up more than half of the exhibition area. Now EIRICH presented its portfolio mainly in digital form.
▸ High transport costs for large machines
▸ Weeks of setup and teardown
▸ Limited number of products on display
▸ Limited presentation options
▸ High personnel effort for logistics
Innovative Presentation Technology in Use
At the center of the new trade show strategy were strategically placed touch displays with the customized Vuframe Windows application. With it, the trade show team could present the complete product portfolio interactively. "This way, we do not have just one machine at the trade show, but ten," says Dunkel about the extended presentation options.
With the interactive 3D visualizations, visitors can look at the machines from all perspectives and understand in detail how they work. A special highlight was the integration of augmented reality: with the Vuframe Mobile App, sales representatives could place the machines virtually in the room. This created a completely new product experience.

▸ Presentation of the complete product portfolio
▸ Detailed insights into machine functions
▸ Flexible product presentation
▸ Lower logistics costs
▸ More sustainable trade show presences
Added Value through Digital Product Communication
With the new form of product presentation, EIRICH can explain technical details and functional sequences even more clearly. "To show customers the advantages that they get with Eirich, you do not need a physical machine. You need interesting stories and innovative media that inspire and captivate," says Dunkel.

The digital presentation gives several important advantages:
The interactive 3D models make it possible to visualize complex technical relationships clearly. Visitors can explore machines virtually, take them apart into their components and follow functional sequences in real time. This form of presentation gives a deeper understanding of the products than static exhibits can.

Sustainability and Efficiency

When the company does not transport heavy machines, it reduces the logistics costs significantly. It also clearly improves the environmental balance of the trade show presences. The digital presentation also makes it possible to adapt the product portfolio flexibly to different target groups and trade show focuses.
▸ Trend toward virtual product presentations
▸ Focus on interactive customer experiences
▸ Connection of the physical and the digital world
▸ More sustainable trade show concepts
▸ More efficient use of resources (time, effort, CO2)
A Future-Oriented Trade Show Strategy

The positive response to the digitalized trade show presence confirms EIRICH's innovative strategy. "I am very grateful that we were so well prepared at the trade show. At Eirich, digitalization is not just a buzzword. We live it authentically in our products and in our external presentation," concludes Maximilian Dunkel.

The experience shows that digital product presentations are not only a cost-effective alternative to traditional trade show presences. They also open up new options for customer interaction. With this, EIRICH has taken a future-oriented path that can be a model for the complete mechanical engineering industry.
